Welcome to Dented Thimble Designs. Thank You for visiting my web site. I hope you enjoy your stay. I am continually working to develop new patterns in the hope that there will be something that inspires quilters of all levels.
The name Dented Thimble Designs comes from the mother in law I never had the pleasure to meet. I know her well though, she was a prolific quilter. She found time to quilt even though she was a full time nurse and raised six children. Among the quilts she left were her thimbles. All of the thimbles are worn so thin that if one tries to use them the needle will poke through. Many of these thimbles also have a small dent on the side from being used so often.

I have been quilting for 35 years. I started with a traditional pattern. I broke all of the rules with that quilt but I learned a lot from it. Oddly enough it is still in use and a request has been placed from the son who has it for another just like it! Keep that in mind when you are somehow disappointed in a quilt you make. That quilt may be a real keeper!
